Voyager 1 spacecraft has completed 44 years in space. The iconic Voyager missions were launched in 1977 to explore the gas giants of the solar system. After completing their primary mission, these two spacecraft kept going. Today, Voyager 1 is the farthest manmade object in space. At a distance of about 14 billion miles, it takes about 21 hours for the signal to get there.
